According to the Concept of innovative development of TSATU for 2016-2021, the main task in the educational process is to ensure a high level of quality of knowledge of higher education graduates of the university. To do this, in accordance with the requirements of the Law of Ukraine “On Higher Education”, the internal quality assurance system of higher education functions in TSATU.

The main areas of activity of this system are in the university:

Monitoring the quality of educational programs by employers

In order to provide a level of training of specialists that meets the requirements of higher education standards and modern needs of employers, the administration of the Tavria State Agrotechnological University constantly works with stakeholders to improve the content of educational programs in all specialties and forms of education. During 2015-2018, modern models of training specialists were developed at the Tavria State Agrotechnological University and introduced new educational programs and curricula from all specialties.

The Department of Educational Activities Monitoring of the University performs the following functions:

  • monitoring the quality of organization of training sessions;
  • monitoring the quality of teaching materials in the disciplines;
  • monitoring of teaching and methodological support for distance learning of higher education students on the Training and Information Portal;
  • monitoring the quality of implementation of cross-cutting and integrated course projects (works);
  • independent measurement of student knowledge of academic disciplines during exam sessions;
  • rector’s examination of residual knowledge in educational disciplines;
  • monitoring of the quality management system at the university;
  • organization of seminars for improving teachers’ teaching skills;
  • sociological surveys of higher education graduates on the organization of educational activities at the university;
  • rating of scientific and pedagogical workers and university departments.

Automated educational process management system «Osvita».

One of the main elements of the internal system of quality assurance in higher education at the university is the development of its own automated system of educational process management, a set of interconnected modules (the administration, the dean’s office, the department, the teacher), which ensure the management of higher education institutions in a single information space.

From 2014, educational modules are developed and implemented in the educational process, which allow to automate the development of a curriculum schedule, work curricula, electronic student success stories, reports on occupational passes and exam data of students’ progress.

For sections of residual and independent sections, the University has an Educational Information Portal that includes electronic training courses for all disciplines for students of all specialties and forms of study. It should be noted that there is a test base in the system for monitoring students’ knowledge. Thanks to this basis, students have the opportunity to self-control knowledge on each topic, module or discipline in general. In addition, the Rector conducts tests of residual knowledge after the session, as well as our know-how – an independent measure of students’ knowledge of discipline on the eve of the exam (at the last consultation). Such an intention helps to increase the motivation for students’ training, and also ensures the objectivity of assessing the knowledge on the exam.

Coursework, diploma theses and projects of higher education graduates of the university must be checked in the system “Antiplagyat”, the results of which are made on the admission of students to state attestation.

Thanks to such an effective system of internal quality assurance in higher education, the educational process at the Tavria State Agrotechnological University since 2009 has been certified in accordance with the international standard of the quality system ISO 9001: 2009 and the National Standard of Ukraine ДСТУ ISO 9001:2009.

Therefore, receiving the Gold Medal at the International Exhibition is the result of many years of fruitful work of the entire team of the Tavria State Agrotechnological University.
