January 22, 2020, based on state higher education institution «Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman» a regional seminar of the national agency for quality assurance in higher education for certified educational evaluation experts and industry expert council members was held on educational accreditation issues and recommendations on the application of assessment criteria and regulations.

The seminar was attended by Ivanova Iryna Yevhenivna, Dean of the Faculty of agrotechnology and ecology, which is an expert from industry expert councils 20 «Agrarian Sciences and Food». The speakers of the event were: Serhii Kvit, Andrii Butenko, Mykhailo Vynnytskyi, Ivan Nazarov, Olena Yeremenko, Nataliia Stukalo.

The following issues were discussed at the seminar:

– results of the first stage of the National Agency for the implementation of a new paradigm for quality assurance in higher education;

– proposals for legislative changes to the normative documents on accreditation of educational programs;

– analysis of surveys on the accreditation procedure and the participation of experts in the evaluation of educational programs and members of sectoral expert councils;

– «the tenth criterion»: prospects of accreditation of educational and scientific programs;

– best practices and practical tips for interpreting and evaluating self-assessment of higher education institutions;

– interactive questions and opportunities to find out relevant questions;

– review and system analysis of cases with the integration of common ground.

During the meeting, special attention was paid to the issues that are relevant in the first stage of the National Agency for the implementation of a new paradigm for quality assurance of higher education, namely the rights and obligations of participants in the accreditation process; academic virtue. At the seminar, mentors presented “case studies” for consideration, which allowed them to “pump” a topic such as a problem of correlating the assessments of the expert group and the industry expert council.

Actual approaches to work with the audience have helped the speakers to feel the mood and assessment of the academic community on the pressing issues that have arisen at different stages of the HEI accreditation process.

We hope that the use of modern educational technologies for specialist training and personal development within the framework of the introduction of a new paradigm for quality assurance in higher education will help to create a high professional level and competence; creative thinking and active creative, initiative personality of a competitive specialist, able to work in new market conditions.
