The Scopus Ranking of Higher Education Institutions in Ukraine is compiled annually by the educational information portal Osvita.ua, which conducts a scientometric assessment based on data from the SciVerse Scopus database. The results of this assessment serve as the basis for ranking Ukrainian higher education institutions.
The ranking is based on Scopus indicators, which provide a comprehensive measure of the research performance of higher education institutions by tracking citations of scholarly publications authored by their academic staff. The Scopus database indexes more than 20,000 peer-reviewed scientific journals across engineering, natural sciences, medicine, social sciences, and the humanities. It also includes conference proceedings, book series, and other scholarly publications.
