Partnerships that turn shared values into shared outcomes.
For TSATU, international partnerships are built on trust, mutual learning, and joint action. They create new opportunities for students and faculty, strengthen research, support the development of international projects, contribute to the modernization of education, facilitate the exchange of technologies and expertise, and enable us to address challenges that extend far beyond a single university or country.
We strive to build relationships in which signing an agreement is the beginning – not the end – of meaningful collaboration. For us, a strong partnership is measured by joint educational initiatives and research, academic mobility, collaborative projects, new competencies, opportunities for the academic community, stronger institutions, and contributions to sustainable development.
The development of international partnerships is one of the key priorities of the TSATU Development Strategy for 2023–2030 and a distinct strategic goal of the TSATU Internationalization Strategy for 2026–2030.
The University is developing a model for meaningful, strategically focused partnerships. We are expanding the geographic reach of our international connections and deepening cooperation where there are shared values, complementary expertise, genuine interest among teams, and potential for long-term impact.
For TSATU, international partnerships are a resource for development and recovery. As a relocated agrotechnological university in a frontline region, we are particularly interested in collaboration that can strengthen the resilience of education and research, develop human capital, support technological modernization, and contribute to sustainable recovery solutions for the Zaporizhzhia region and Ukraine.
Our partnership principles
- Shared values. We seek partners who share our commitment to academic integrity, respect for human dignity, openness, responsibility, academic freedom, and the pursuit of outcomes that contribute to society.
- Mutual benefit and reciprocity. Sustainable partnerships should create value for all participants. We seek to jointly identify needs, objectives, each partner’s contribution, and expected outcomes to ensure that cooperation is equitable and mutually enriching.
- Trust and responsibility. We value open communication, honoring commitments, transparent processes, and respect for each partner’s role. For us, trust is built through consistent joint action.
- Meaningful engagement. A memorandum or agreement should lead to meaningful interaction. We support partnerships that translate into joint projects, mobility, research, educational programs, expert engagement, knowledge exchange, and other concrete initiatives.
- Sustainability. We focus on partnerships that can evolve over time, expand from individual initiatives into multiple areas of collaboration, and generate lasting outcomes beyond the completion of a specific project or program.
- Openness and inclusion. We seek to create an international environment in which diverse academic cultures, experiences, and perspectives become sources of new solutions, and in which international opportunities are accessible to a broader academic community.
- Strategic alignment. When developing new partnerships, TSATU considers alignment with the University’s academic profile, potential for educational, research, and project-based collaboration, opportunities to participate in international programs, and the contribution of prospective cooperation to sustainable development and recovery.
What we can create together
- Education without borders. Academic mobility for students and staff, joint and dual-degree programs, guest teaching, international modules, joint courses, internships and placements, summer and winter schools, virtual mobility, and other forms of international learning.
- Research and innovation. Joint research, international research teams, publications, conferences, access to expertise and research infrastructure, joint proposal development, and the expansion of research networks.
- International projects. Consortium building and joint participation in Erasmus+, Horizon Europe, and other European and international programs; development of educational, research, innovation, institutional, recovery, and reconstruction projects.
- Expertise exchange and professional development. Professional development for faculty and administrative staff, internships, training, peer learning, exchange of management practices, leadership development, and institutional capacity building.
- Technology and sustainable development. Joint solutions in agrotechnology, food security, engineering, energy, environmental protection, digital transformation, the circular economy, entrepreneurship, and community development.
- Recovery and resilience. Initiatives supporting the recovery of educational and research infrastructure, human capital development, frontline communities, veterans, internally displaced persons, youth, and other groups that need new opportunities for education, professional development, and economic participation.
Our contribution to the international partnership community
TSATU brings together expertise in agriculture, engineering, energy, environmental studies, economics, management, food technology, and digital technologies. This interdisciplinary expertise enables us to build teams capable of addressing a wide range of educational, research, and project-based challenges. We have experience in international academic mobility, international educational and project initiatives, joint programs, and cooperation with universities, research institutions, international organizations, and other partners. The University’s experience of relocation and operation in a frontline region has provided it with unique practical expertise in institutional resilience, continuity of education and research, digital adaptation, recovery and reconstruction, and working in conditions of high uncertainty. At the same time, our partnership offer extends far beyond these areas. We are open to collaboration on academic, research, technological, and societal challenges of European and global significance.
- International cooperation. We view strong partnerships as dynamic relationships that can begin with a single point of contact – a joint lecture, mobility opportunity, research idea, or team meeting – and gradually develop into joint projects, academic programs, research initiatives, network collaboration, and long-term strategic partnerships. For this reason, TSATU continuously reviews and develops its portfolio of international partnerships: we maintain active relationships, deepen those with potential for further development, and build new partnerships in countries and fields that are important to the University’s strategic objectives.
- International associations and networks. Participation in international associations, networks, alliances, and platforms expands opportunities for new projects, expert collaboration, knowledge exchange, and sharing TSATU’s experience with the international academic community.
- TSATU Ambassadors. Alumni, faculty, researchers, partners, and friends of the University abroad help expand international connections, establish new professional relationships, and strengthen TSATU’s presence worldwide.
We are open to new partnerships
International partnerships begin with dialogue. If your organization shares common interests with TSATU in education, research, innovation, project development, mobility, sustainable development, or recovery and reconstruction, we are open to discussing what we can create together.
For us, the goal is not simply to sign a memorandum of understanding or other statement of intent. We seek to understand our shared objectives, identify teams ready to work together, and define the first concrete steps toward future collaboration.
Have an idea for collaboration? Tell us about your organization, area of interest, or specific initiative. The International Relations Office will help identify the relevant TSATU unit or experts and facilitate further communication.
