The formation of future professionals’ competencies begins from the first year through the study of disciplines and professional modules. One essential aspect of professional preparation is practical experience. It facilitates the student’s socialization into the professional environment and shapes a holistic understanding of a competent professional. Practice plays a significant role in developing the professional and general competencies of a modern specialist in the training process.
The department’s mission is to prepare highly qualified modern managers and specialists at the regional, national, and international levels, both for the public administration sector and the private sector of the economy. These individuals possess structured knowledge and modern technologies, have the ability to think systematically and innovatively, and are capable of effectively performing their professional functions. They contribute to innovative processes in society with the aim of improving the quality of life for citizens based on European and global standards.
Educational programs in the specialties of “Management” and “Public Administration and Administration” have been developed by the department, taking into account national regulatory documents. The program focuses on training professionals in the field of public administration and administration, as part of supporting the implementation of state and regional strategies for socio-economic development and improving the socio-economic indicators of the country. The program’s objectives are as follows:
– To provide students with fundamental knowledge in the field of multi-level management.
– To shape students’ economic perspectives, providing them with a practical understanding of contemporary management processes based on the practical experience of leading domestic and foreign enterprises and corporations.
– To promote the development of skills in students for solving specific managerial tasks based on the application of fundamental knowledge in the field of management and administration in enterprises and public institutions, considering the establishment and functioning of a market economy in Ukraine.
The faculty members of the department are socially active and implement various projects such as the Week of Local Self-Government, Weeks of Law, European Weeks of Local Democracy, Youth Parliament, Sustainable Development Goals, regional conferences, and educational initiatives for the city and community’s youth. The department’s staff is open to international collaboration, allowing for the exchange of international experience in public administration and administration. This includes studying and implementing European and global standards in education and teaching methods, in combination with achievements in the national administrative sector, with the aim of preparing highly educated, informed, and qualified professionals.

The conference of the Department of Public Administration, Administration, and Law invites representatives from the academic community (researchers, professors, doctoral candidates, postgraduates, master’s and bachelor’s students), as well as representatives from state and local self-government bodies, public organizations, enterprises, and institutions.
All participants will receive an electronic collection of materials, which will be posted on the website of the Department of Public Administration, Administration, and Law at Dmytro Motornyi Tavria State Agrotechnological University.
