In 1967, the Department of Economics and Organization of Agricultural Production was established. In 1990, due to the initiation of the economic faculty, it split into two departments: “Production Organization and Agribusiness” and “Economics and Management of Agricultural Production.”

Since 1999, the department has been led by Ph.D., Professor, and Academician of the Academy of Engineering Sciences of Ukraine, Volodymyr Mykhailovych Brustinov. His diligent work has received recognition, and he has been honored for contributions to science, education, and society.

The department’s academic staff includes 12 instructors, with one professor and nine Ph.D. holders. Over the years, the department underwent name changes, ultimately becoming the “Organization and Management of Socio-Economic Systems” in 2016 and simply “Management” in the same year.

In 2020, accreditation was obtained for Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Management for a period of five years. In 2021, the first cohort of master’s students in Management defended their qualification works.

The Faculty of Economics and Business was initiated in 1990, and in 2016, enrollment began for “Public Administration and Administration” based on the Management Department.

In 2018, a separate department for Public Management, Administration, and Law was established to prepare specialists in municipal and administrative management. It actively contributed to the decentralization process.

In 2019, with the department’s support, a Youth Parliament started operating in Melitopol. In 2020, Professor Roman Ivanovych Oleksenko became the head of the department.

On July 1, 2022, the Management and Public Administration, Administration, and Law departments merged into the Department of Management and Public Administration, with Dr. Anna Volodymyrivna Ortina leading the department.
