The Department of Foreign Languages places significant emphasis not only on educational and scientific work with students but also on fostering collaboration among students, their peers, and teachers. This holistic approach promotes the comprehensive development of individuals and prepares highly skilled professionals suitable for employment in the European labour market.
Every year, the department work plan includes large-scale and individualized foreign language projects aimed at involving students in educational and intercultural activities. These projects present participants with interesting and complex tasks that require them to utilize their entire knowledge of the foreign language and demonstrate their professional competence and soft skills. During these projects, teachers provide both consultative assistance and opportunities for teamwork. As a result, students gain invaluable experience and essential skills in acquiring new knowledge and abilities, improving their foreign language proficiency, and enhancing their oral and written communication skills in a foreign language.
Moreover, the department actively supports student initiatives aimed at developing leadership qualities, critical thinking, and intercultural communication. Regular seminars and workshops with leading specialists in linguistics and pedagogy are held, allowing students to stay updated on the latest trends and teaching methods in foreign languages. These activities not only enrich the students’ academic experience but also prepare them for the dynamic demands of the global job market.
In addition to academic and professional development, the department encourages students to engage in various extracurricular activities that promote cultural awareness and personal growth. This includes participation in international exchange programs, language clubs, and cultural festivals, which provide students with opportunities to practice their language skills in real-world contexts and build lasting connections with people from diverse backgrounds.
