A patent is a security document that certifies that no one except the patent owner can use the patented technology or invention in industry. Any person who wishes to use it is required to obtain permission from the owner.

The documentation cycle is complex. In order for a technical solution – an invention – to be confirmed by a patent, it must meet three main criteria: have world novelty, inventive step, and the possibility of industrial application. Before sending the documents, the University’s Intellectual Property and Information Department conducts its own examination, collecting all scientific and technical information on the object, and determines its patentability.

It has become traditional that according to the results of each academic year, more than 20 patents are published, the authors of which are teachers of the Department of the University of Applied Sciences named after Professor F.Yu. Yalpachyk and higher education students majoring in “Industrial Mechanical Engineering”.
