Faculty Academic Council

    Members OF THE ACADEMIC COUNCIL OF THE FACULTY OF AGROTECHNOLOGIES AND ECOLOGY

    The Academic Council is a collegial management body of the faculty, which is formed for a term of five years, the members of which is approved by the order of the University Rector upon the submission of the Dean of the faculty within five working days from the expiration of the previous members of the Academic Council.

    The work plan of the faculty’s Academic Council for the academic year regulates its activities. The frequency of Academic Council meetings is monthly, except during vacation periods.

    Decisions of the faculty’s Academic Council are implemented by the order of the Dean of the faculty. Decisions of the faculty’s Academic Council may be revoked by the University Academic Council.

    FACULTY ACADEMIC COUNCIL:

1. Decision-making regarding the organization of the educational process at the faculty.
2. Determination of the general directions of the faculty’s scientific activity.
3. Election, through secret ballot, of assistants, lecturers, senior lecturers, and associate professors.
4. Submission of proposals to the faculty’s self-government body regarding the dismissal of the dean.
5. Adoption of educational programs and curricula, followed by their approval by the university’s academic council.
6. Consideration and approval of annual and long-term work plans of the faculty and assessment of the dean’s report on their implementation.
7. Examination of issues related to the organization and execution of scientific plans of departments and individual faculty members.
8. Periodic review of reports on the educational and upbringing work of the faculty’s departments.
9. Consideration of matters concerning the establishment and development of educational and production bases for professional training of higher education seekers.
10. Discussion of issues and submission of proposals to the university’s academic council regarding changes in the faculty’s structure, establishment, reorganization, or liquidation of departments, as well as proposals regarding the structure of the faculty and its scientific and educational-scientific subdivisions.
11. Recommendation of research works for inclusion in the thematic plan of the university’s research work.
12. Recommendation of projects of research works for participation in competitions at various levels.
13. Submission of proposals regarding candidates for admission to postgraduate and doctoral studies.
14. Review of recommendations regarding candidates for receiving named scholarships, awards, prizes of various levels.
15. Consideration of other matters not contradicting the University Statute.
16. The faculty’s academic council also considers other issues upon the proposal of the rector, the faculty’s academic council, the conference of the university’s (faculty’s) labor collective, student self-government bodies related to the university’s (faculty’s) activities, in accordance with the University Statute.
