One of the main tasks of the Law of Ukraine “On Education” is to improve the legal mechanisms for exercising the constitutional right of citizens to equal access to quality education at all levels; creating conditions for lifelong learning; improving the legal framework of education.The quality of education depends on many factors, including how well the participants in the educational process treat their responsibilities. That is, one of the criteria for quality of education is “academic integrity”.

In recent years, the issue of academic integrity has been very relevant to the staff of our university. After all, it is unacceptable that research works are done on demand for money; when in scientific texts they paraphrase other people’s thoughts and pretend to be their own without reference to their true author; when the purpose of scientific research is not new scientific knowledge and to obtain academic degrees; when in society such a state of affairs is perceived as the norm.

Ukrainian scientific and educational community increasingly turning to issues of academic integrity and implementation of international academic standards. American Councils on International Education, together with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, launch the Project on Promoting Academic Integrity in Ukraine. Article 42 of the Law of Ukraine «About education» dedicated to academic virtue. In TSATU, academic integrity issues are governed by the documents provided on the University’s official website in the section «Anti-corruption».
