The department’s tasks include:
- Providing students with fundamental knowledge in the field of economics and business.
- Creating an environment for the development of well-rounded individuals with a holistic understanding of economic realities.
- Fostering the formation of an economic worldview in students.
- Developing in students the ability to perceive and understand modern economic processes in both domestic and international economics.
- Equipping students with the necessary competencies to solve specific economic challenges based on the application of fundamental economic principles.
- Encouraging students to engage in scientific and research activities.
- Nurturing a new generation of professionals based on universal values and a sense of patriotism.
- Effectively applying advanced teaching technologies and introducing innovations in scientific, educational, methodological, organizational, and educational work with students.
- Promoting early career orientation for young individuals.
The stuff of the Department of Economics and Business combine their teaching roles with scientific research activities, which contributes to the effectiveness of the educational process, enhances the content of education in line with the current state of economic science, and implements modern educational and methodological support for professional preparation.

- Formation of priority development strategies for the national economy: the agrarian sector.
- Development and government regulation of entrepreneurship in the agrarian sector.
- Formation and utilization of human capital.
- Theoretical aspects of the strategic development of the agricultural sector of the economy.
- Optimization of the development strategy of the agrarian sphere.
- Theoretical and methodological foundations of entrepreneurship in the agrarian sector.
- Directions for improving the effectiveness of entrepreneurial activities in the agro-industrial complex (APK).
- Theoretical aspects of human capital utilization.
- Directions for optimizing the utilization of human capital.
The department’s team actively participates in scientific and practical conferences at both the university level and on a national and international scale to validate the results of their research.
A significant aspect of the department’s activities is the exploration of new and the promotion of existing forms of education and the organization of scientific work for students and postgraduates. These forms of scientific work include students’ involvement in research projects within the department’s areas, independent research efforts, writing scientific articles, presenting at scientific conferences and competitions.
Under the guidance of leading department lecturers, student research groups are actively engaged in productive research. Based on their research findings, student works are prepared for scientific competitions, departmental student scientific conferences are conducted, and exemplary student presentations are published in collections of scientific works.
