The concept of dual education involves a 50/50 spatial and temporal combination of studying at an educational institution and internships at enterprises. This form of education promotes greater integration of education, science, and business and is widespread in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. According to the dual education principle, students take qualifying exams during their internships at enterprises, and specialists working at enterprises are actively involved in shaping the list of disciplines and the content and structure of university curricula.

The dual education program at TSATU combines theoretical classes with practical training, which is implemented as part of paid internships at partner companies. Upon completion of the dual education, in addition to knowledge, the student will have at least two years of work experience, which can be added to their resume.

After completing the second year, students can start their studies in a dual program. Students receive a monthly payment for their participation in the internship, which is set by the partner firm and the university. The subjects taught in the dual education program are also taught by employees of partner firms – practitioners with many years of experience. For the entire period of the internship, the student signs a contract with one partner firm, which defines his or her duties and conditions of the internship, having previously agreed them with representatives of the university.

The partners of the dual education program are well-known companies. They can pass on their experience and innovations to students during theoretical classes and internships at enterprises.
