The Department of “Technology of Processing and Storage of Agricultural Products” was established by the decision of the Academic Council of TDATA on June 31, 2003, in accordance with order No. 354-K dated July 21, 2003, by dividing the Department of “Mechanization of Processing and Storage of Agricultural Products,” which was part of the Faculty of Agricultural Production Processing. By the decision of the Academic Council of TDATU, the Department of Technology of Processing and Storage of Agricultural Products was renamed the Department of Food Technologies and Hotel-Restaurant Business, as per order No. 11-OD dated January 31, 2018.

Since July 1, 2017, the head of the Department of “Food Technologies and Hotel-Restaurant Business” has been appointed as Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Olesya Petrivna Priss.
