Department of Food Technologies and Hotel and Reastaurant Business Mykola Vasylovych Andrushchenko under the program of the Global Environment Fund won a grant of 50 thousand UAH on the implementation of an innovative beekeeping project in Dmytro Motornyi Tavria State Agrotechnological University.
Since 1992, this fund has provided financial and technical support to projects that conserve and restore biodiversity, enhance people’s well-being.
A demonstration apiary with a total area of 2 hectares was created on the basis of the funds received at our university, where innovative organic beekeeping technologies are used and beekeepers are trained. Use of special equipment and solar panels on apiary allows the beekeeping industry to provide renewable energy and help to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Implementation of the project contributes to increasing the competitive potential of beekeeping in the region.
