Center for Information Technologies – Center for Information Technology and Systems in 2019 started rating the websites of TSATU departments. The department’s website is its business card in the TDATU community, reflecting its educational and scientific activities. The purpose of the rating was to stimulate the full presentation of the activities of the chairs on the global Internet and to improve the university’s position in web rankings.
During 2019, the results of the webometric winners, which are close to the indicators of the international Webometrics rating, were summarized quarterly:
- Presence. The volume of the department site and the number of documents placed.
- Visibility, transparency. Number of external hyperlinks to the site of the department.
- Openness. Number of citations of publications of the teachers of the department indexed by the academic search engine Google Scholar.
Web results of the rating evaluation of the departments included in the new provision «Methods of rating of activity of departments of Dmytro Motornyi Tavria State Agrotechnological University». According to it, the first place in the web rankings of the departments by individual indicator is estimated at 100 points. Rankings in the Chairs Web Rankings: first – 200 points, second – 100 points, third – 50 points.
As a result, the winners in 2019 became departments:
1 place – Department of Technical Systems and Technology in Livestock
(head of the department Didur V.A.)
2 place – Department of Foreign Languages (head of the department Symonenko S.V.)
3 place – Department of Electrical Engineering and Electromechanics named after professor V.V. Ovcharov (head of the department Kvitka S.O.).
