September 14-15, the Agrarian Higher Education Institutions of Ukraine hosted a meeting aimed at discussing and identifying common areas of cooperation between countries in higher education, discussing contemporary problems and prospects for higher education.
The meeting was organized by the tourist company “Tural-S” on the initiative of the Plovdiv National Agrarian University in Bulgaria, which was attended by agrarian higher education institutions of Ukraine, such as:
- Dmytro Motornyi Tavria State Agrotechnological University;
- Kharkiv National Agrarian University named after V.V.Dokuchajev;
- Vinnytsia National Agrarian University;
- Kherson State Agricultural University.
Agricultural University of Plovdiv – recognized as the national center of agrarian science and education in Bulgaria. During its existence, the University has produced more than 30,000 agronomists, engineers, ecologists, economists, of whom more than 3,000 are foreign nationals. Agrarian University has earned public recognition as a leader in agricultural business, science and education in the country and a desirable international partner.
Within the framework of establishing international relations between the European Agrarian Higher Education Institutions, in the direction of joint scientific and educational activities, a delegation of the Dmytro Motornyi Tavria State Agrotechnological University composed of Rector D.Sc., Professor V. Kyurchev, Vice-Rector for Scientific Work Professor Nadykto V.T. made a presentation of the university, detailing educational and scientific activity, specialties, history of creation, modern work, achievements, material but technical and practical base of university. All possible cooperation prospects were clearly identified and discussed, the following areas of cooperation were proposed and approved:
- Academic Exchanges for Students and Teachers under the Erasmus Program +;
- Teaching students to earn a double degree;
- Participation in joint research projects, participation in joint grant programs;
- Organization and holding of joint conferences, forums, seminars, trainings of advanced training courses;
- Joint preparation of scientific articles and monographs;
- Organizing and conducting international internships, scientific and pedagogical practices.
- Organization and conducting of training, production practices for students.
The Rector of the University has signed an agreement on cooperation with the Rector of Agricultural University of Plovdiv Christina Yancheva, presented traditional university souvenirs. The meeting ended with a friendly agreement on further work.
