17 May as part of a trade forum «Agro Territory» at Center for Culture and Leisure in Dmytro Motornyi Tavria State Agrotechnological university gathered producers and aggregators of the fruit and vegetable products of the city and district level in order to get new experience in the production, storage and distribution of products and to establish cooperation.
This year, the auction forum “Agroterritory” in Melitopol was held for the second time. The purpose of this event is to organize a comfortable environment for producers and aggregators of fruit and vegetable products to have the opportunity to get new experience in the production, storage and distribution of products, as well as to make new acquaintances.
The trading forum is a very useful measure for small and large producers of fruit and vegetable products, trading networks, processing companies, traders, HoReCa, entrepreneurs and managers of companies that provide filling of counters with vegetables, fruits and berries. Thanks to the forum, they have the opportunity to get to know their target audience, and maybe find new partners.
During the event interesting and useful lectures and panel communication were held. At lectures speakers shared the intricacies of work in the field of fruit and vegetable business. During the panel discussion, the participants established contacts, exchanged contacts and entered into profitable arrangements. Successful entrepreneurs, traders and representatives of retail chains shared their experience.
Interesting information on new markets for Ukrainian sweet cherry and export policy was provided by the head of the Ukrainian Association of Agricultural Exports, Dmytro Krochko.
The cost of conducting a trade forum is covered annually by the Ukrainian project of fruit and vegetable business development (UHBDP), funded by the Canadian Ministry of International Affairs, implements and co-finances the Mennonite Economic Development Association (MEDA). It should be noted that MEDA co-operates with the Israeli Agency for International Cooperation (MASHAV) and international service companies to provide technical support.
