April 22 – Day of the Earth, as well as the years since the founding of the Faculty of Agrotechnologies and Ecology of Dmytro Motornyi Tavria State Agrotechnological University. For this holiday, from April 12th the competition «The best student project of arrangement of a field for youth» was held at the faculty, which is located near the central entrance to the 5th corps from Universitetska Street.
The aim of the competition is to create a functional and aesthetically pleasing, green area for students to relax and to practice in the air.
The commission considered 16 projects from groups and students of our faculty.
There were certain requirements for the works, which consisted in the project being creative and containing an interesting idea for the arrangement of the field, which should be explained and detailed with a description or presentation.
The students suggested that they wanted the field to be a recreation area where everyone could spend their free time, and that the field could be used for classes or electives in small groups.
In general, many interesting ideas were expressed in the presented projects. Students offered to set up benches, tables, arbours and even swings, and for sporting activities to place on a bar or tennis table. Next to the tables, a trash bin should be installed to keep the environment clean. The area can be landscaped with trees including conifers, lawn grass and flowers. Competitors offer to lay paths of sidewalk tiles on the territory of the site.
The commission consisting of Dean Irina Ivanova, Deputy Dean Lyudmila Shlenoya, heads of departments: Maxim Kolesnikov, Oksana Eremenko, Olesya Priss, Yuriy Rogach, Lyudmila Datsenko reviewed the works and made a decision on awarding diplomas in the nominations of all contestants. And the most successful ideas and project elements will be implemented.
