Dmitry Motorny Tavria State Agrotechnological University has been productively cooperating with local agrarians. Many years our HEI conducts scientific-research work in cooperation with LLC «VKF» Melitopol cherry».

On the basis of the departments of food technology and hotel and restaurant business and fruit and vegetable growing, viticulture and biochemistry of PVB continues the next stage of scientific research work of the student scientific club on the theme «Adaptation of varieties of stone crops for cultivation in the Southern Steppe of Ukraine and suitability of their fruits for primary processing».

Joint activities on the implementation of scientific research in the field of research of varieties, primary processing and storage of fruit products makes it possible to integrate knowledge and skills of students of specialties «Horticulture and viticulture», «Agronomy», «Food technology» in joint creative scientific research.

Cooperation with leading farms, such as LLC «PKF» «Melitopol Cherry» gives the opportunity not only to exchange modern scientific and technical information in the system of agricultural producer – teacher HEI, but also to conduct cooperative research. In recent years, it has been spread practice that to increase the request for practical training of students in the framework of LLC «PKF» Melitopol Cherry». This company is on the list of supporting dual training and is part of the pilot project of the Ministry of Education. In March-May 2020, teachers of the Department of Horticulture, Viticulture and Biochemistry under the guidance of the Director of LLC «PKF» «Melitopolskaya cherry»Ivan Grintsiv.

Scientists of the departments of ATE faculty – Marina Serdyuk, Irina Ivanova and Alla Koshuba together with the student community continue the period of laying experiments that to study the suitability of cherry, cherry and hazelnut fruits to long-term storage and production of processed products of the updated formulation.
