MONITORING AND PROTECTION DEVICE FOR LOW-VOLTAGE THREE-PHASE ASYNCHRONOUS ELECTRIC MOTORS

Purpose and field of application.

The device belongs to the electrical devices for diagnostics and protection of AM electric machines and can be used for monitoring and protection of low-voltage three-phase squirrel-cage induction motors as components of the electromechanical system.

The device is designed to control the phase currents of the motor with its automatic shutdown in case of abnormal operating conditions.

Technical characteristics.

 – temperature control of electric motor stator windings;

– monitoring and protection of the motor during prolonged technological overloads;

– monitoring and protection of the motor in case of incorrect starting and braking processes;

– motor protection in case of rotor jams;

– execution of the device operation algorithm with processing of input control parameters to obtain measurement results on the control panel;

– stabilization of the supply voltage.

The effect of the application.

The practical implementation of the developed monitoring and protection device will increase the operational reliability of a group of three-phase asynchronous electric motors of the electromechanical system “electric motor – working machine” by 10…15%.

METHODOLOGY FOR PREDICTING ELECTRICAL LOADS UNDER CONDITIONS OF UNCERTAINTY OF THE INITIAL INFORMATION

The developed methodology allows to make short- and long-term forecasts of electricity consumption under conditions of uncertainty of the initial information. It is based on fuzzy regression analysis, which was applied using an improved criterion for selecting regression coefficients. In the framework of multicriteria optimization, the degree of compatibility and the degree of uncertainty of the forecast data were taken into account in parity when determining the regression coefficients.

A user-friendly software package has been created that allows creating a detailed forecast of electricity consumption for any day of the year based on retrospective information on electricity consumption, even if it may contain uncertainty. The forecast is generated separately for working and non-working days and is presented in graphical form for convenience. The decision maker can use the electricity consumption forecast to match the actual electricity consumption with the declared one, to adjust the operating modes of equipment, and to choose the optimal tariff for paying for electricity.

The methodology was implemented at LLC «Melitopolski Teplovi Merezhi», PE “Molokozavod Olkom”, Pryazovskyi REM of PJSC «Zaporizhzhiaoblenergo», and LLC «ARTCOM».


TECHNOLOGY FOR MONITORING THE FUNCTIONAL STATE OF AN INDUCTION MOTOR

The technology for controlling the functional state of an induction motor is intended for workers of power services of agricultural and industrial enterprises engaged in the technical maintenance of electrical equipment. The essence of the technology is to periodically monitor the performance of asynchronous electric motors by their functional state, which means the performance of functions by the motor according to its intended purpose. The technology can reduce the percentage of annual failures of induction motors by 2 times.

The technology was implemented at PJSC “Hydrosila Melitopol tractor hydraulic units plant”, Agricultural Production Cooperative (SPK) «Sadove»,Melitopol district, and Agricultural Multidisciplinary Cooperative (SMK) «Niva», Melitopol district, resulting in a 15% increase in the operational reliability of the induction motors of these enterprises.


PRACTICAL RECOMMENDATIONS FOR REDUCING ELECTRICITY CONSUMPTION IN THE OPERATION OF EQUIPMENT OF POST-HARVEST GRAIN PROCESSING ENTERPRISES IN THE SOUTH OF UKRAINE

Practical recommendations for reducing electricity consumption in the operation of equipment of post-harvest grain processing enterprises in the south of Ukraine are intended for heads of energy services of regional and district departments of agriculture, who are engaged in the control of electricity consumption and planning of electricity consumption of post-harvest grain processing enterprises. The introduction of energy-saving modes of operation of electromechanical grain handling systems at grain elevators will reduce electricity consumption for post-harvest grain handling processes in southern Ukraine by 8-10%.

Recommendations for the implementation of the development were discussed and approved at the technical council of the Zaporizhzhia Regional and Melitopol District Agricultural Departments, and the Velyka Lepetykha District Agricultural Department of the Kherson Region.

The practical recommendations were adopted for implementation: State Enterprise “Research Farm “Izviestia” IOKUAAN” (State Enterprise “Research Farm “Izvestia” Institute of Oilseeds of the Ukrainian Academy of Agrarian Sciences”), LLC “Molodizhne” of Mykhailivskyi district of Zaporizhzhia region, Huliaipilskyi section of PJSC “Poltavske Hlibopriemalne Pidpriemstvo”, FE “Tech-Agrosvit” of Beryslav district, Kherson region.


THE ELECTRIFIED SMALL-SIZED MOTOBLOCK FOR SOIL CULTIVATION

The electrified small-sized motoblock for soil cultivation is a reliable, simple in design, multifunctional power unit that can greatly facilitate the hard work of the farmer and increase the productivity of a significant part of gardening operations. The ability to aggregate a large number of trailed devices allows you to perform basic tillage, harrowing and cultivation of medium and light soils, mowing, spraying, irrigation and water pumping, as well as perform a number of stationary works driven by an electric motor.

Efficiency of use: significantly lower specific energy consumption when performing basic agricultural processes related to soil cultivation compared to walk-behind tractors driven by internal combustion engines.

The technical novelty of the research is confirmed by the patent of Ukraine for utility model No. 35352.


DEVICE FOR MONITORING, DIAGNOSING AND PROTECTING A GROUP OF ASYNCHRONOUS MOTORS

The device is designed to monitor and diagnose operating modes in case of asymmetry of mains voltages, facilitate the operation of the automatic transfer switch in case of deep asymmetry and protect a group of asynchronous motor of a flow process line.

The device allows:

  • monitor the reverse-sequence voltage at the input of the control cabinet of the process line and at the terminals of each asynchronous motor;
  • control the temperature of the induction motor windings;
  • switch on the facilitating mode of the asynchronous motor operation in case of deep asymmetry of the network;
  • disconnect the asynchronous motor from the mains when the temperature of its windings reaches the maximum permissible value;
  • monitor the normal operation of the sensor circuits for monitoring abnormal modes of the AM;
  • to provide discrete indication of the AM operating modes.

The number of sensors for monitoring abnormal operating conditions is equal to the number of monitored AMs.

The advantages of the device are that it not only monitors, diagnoses and protects the motors of the in-line process line and increases their operational reliability, but also switches on the easing mode of operation of induction motors in case of deep asymmetry at the end of the process.

The device has been tested in production at the Agricultural Production Cooperative (SPK) «Preslav», Prymorsk district, Zaporizhzhia region.

The device is designed for remote diagnostics of the operating modes of the power transformer of a complete transformer substation (KTP) 10/0. 4 KV.it allows you to protect the transformer during overcurrent and exceeding the insulation temperature,performs the role of a security function against unauthorized entry into the KTP distribution cabinet, and also generates a signal for remote shutdown of the disconnector with an electric drive.

The use of the device for remote diagnostics of power transformers (KTP) 10/0.4 KV will reduce the operating costs of maintenance of remote transformer substations 10/0. 4 KV,reduce cases of failure of transformers from abnormal operating modes by disconnecting the load or (KTP)  as a whole.
