DSC_0023From September 4 to 6, the third international scientific and practical conference “Innovative Aspects of Food and Hotel Industry Equipment Development in Modern Conditions” was organized and held with the Kharkov State University of Food and Trade.

The organizing committee of the conference received 126 materials of reports of scientists from 59 educational institutions and organizations of 17 countries of the world. Among them: Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bulgaria, Georgia, Israel, Iraq, Spain. Italy, Kazakhstan, China, Morocco, Norway, Slovakia, the United States of America, Turkey, Uzbekistan, and Ukraine.

The conference was held on the basis of the department of processing and food production equipment named after Professor F.Yu. Yalpachik of Dmytro Motornyi TDATU and Salyut JSC, located on the shore of the Azov Sea (Kyrylivka town).

Within the framework of the conference the work of food production equipment on the basis of the Department of OPHV named after Professor F.Yu. Yalpachik, plenary and sectional meetings, round tables took place. They were aimed at solving topical issues in identifying problems and prospects for the development of food production equipment, improving the processes and technologies of processing of agricultural raw materials in the conditions of modern society, innovative approaches and creative solutions in the formation of technical equipment of enterprises of the hotel and restaurant industry.

As a result of the discussion of the conference reports, their main provisions were approved, the relevance, thoroughness, scientific and practical importance, as well as high quality, scientific novelty and depth of research conducted within the scientific schools were noted. The participants of the conference also had the opportunity to establish links with the exchange of information on the results of scientific studies of related HLS and joint research.

According to the resolution of the III International Scientific and Practical Conference “Innovative aspects of the development of equipment of the food and hotel industry in the present day”, it is considered expedient to expand and deepen the research in the following directions:

– development of modern food production equipment;

  • improvement of processing of agricultural raw materials;
  • development of new progressive food technologies with specified properties;
  • use of the HACCP system to improve existing and create new technologies of high quality and safety products;
  • developing a strategy for the development of the hotel and restaurant industry in order to create conditions for enhancing their competitiveness.

It is proposed to intensify work on: advertising and commercialization of intellectual property objects and concluding agreements for the implementation of research and development on the orders of enterprises; to prepare proposals for the commercialization of completed research works to form an electronic database for the purpose of placing them in the inter-university technology transfer network and to activate the work of scientists before they enter the market. Equally important is setting up your own companies or selling technology licenses to other companies to encourage scientists to turn their research into real sources of revenue.

Important points of the conference resolution that should be emphasized are identified:

  • Work to actively involve colleagues from related HLS, as well as business representatives from different cities of Ukraine, foreign organizations and companies in joint scientific developments within the framework of the Horizon 2020 program.
  • Develop partnerships with industrialists and entrepreneurs and conduct joint scientific-practical seminars, conferences in order to involve them in the creation of new and introduction of existing types of equipment, technologies in production.
  • Expand international relations by holding joint conferences and publishing works of foreign scientists in professional Ukrainian editions and scientists of Ukraine in foreign editions.

The guests of the conference visited the National Historical and Archeological Reserve “The Stone Tomb”.
