TSATU signed an agreement with the public organization Booster Development (Goal 4, Goal 5). Booster Development organized training for female military personnel, entrepreneurs who lost their businesses due to military operations, young people from rural areas, and unemployed women. The main tasks of cooperation between Booster Development and TSATU were identifying vulnerable categories and studying issues related to improving education, introducing practical cases of small business creation, and developing business revival models. TSATU organized 3 focus groups and 1 questionnaire to enhance higher education and support gender equality in business development. The relevance of the educational project “Professional orientation. Career. Entrepreneurship” was presented to students of economic specialties. The coordinator presented research results for the rector’s report and the report of the USAID Program project Economic Support of Ukraine.
TSATU initiated a dialogue between youth, educators, public figures, and representatives of the executive power of Melitopol. In 2023, TDATU organized the Youth of Tavria and invited Melitopol Mayor Ivan Fedorov, Melitopol Deputy Mayor Mykhailo Semikin, Honored Master of Sports of Ukraine and Honored Coach of Ukraine Valeriya Gazaeva, Director of the Centralized Library System of Melitopol Innau Yefimenko, Coordinator of the “Dream and Act” program (IREX ) Tatiana Nesvat. The Youth of Tavria is an interactive two-day platform for a discussion dialogue between the youth and the authorities. In 2023, more than 300 participants participated in the debate, including graduates of secondary education institutions, students and teachers of TDATU, and public figures. The interactive event aims to realize and implement young people’s ideas in the revival of Melitopol and its sustainable development in the post-war period.
Scientists of TDATU are members of the public organization Zaporizhia Information and Consulting Center Agro-Tavria. The main goal of the Center is to provide consulting services regarding introducing innovative solutions in the fields of agriculture, engineering, and food technology. The Сenter also provides business consulting services and project support in the agricultural sector.
Management and teachers participated in associations, meetings of project teams of universities, and academic missions (rector’s report, pp 45-47). In 2023, TSATU rector Sergey Kyurchev gave a speech at the Pennsylvania State University: Ten steps of survival of an agrarian university in wartime conditions: occupation and relocation (SDG 4,16). V. Skyba, O. Antonovsky, and V. Lemeshchenko-Lahoda of TSATU discussed ways to improve work university with representatives of the World Water Quality Alliance (SDG 15). D. Legeza and O. Yatsuh presented directions for enhancing education by implementing digitalization in the universities of Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Latvia (SDG 4). M. Kolesnikov spoke about the results of land improvement on the university’s experimental fields during an educational mission to the Netherlands on Regenerative Agriculture (SDG 15). Y. Sokil gave a report at Mykolas Romeris University about supporting the career growth of women in education (SDG 5,9).
In 2023, TDATU, as a partner of the Erasmus project Digitization of the economy as an element of sustainable development of Ukraine and Tajikistan (DigEco) 618270-EPP-1-2020-1-LT-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP took part in educational and scientific activities (SDG 4, 5, 8). The project partners introduced an innovative practice of developing ideas and creating a creative business with the help of joint inter-university scientific projects. Interuniversity teams of students presented their scientific projects at the competition. The jury of the competition was public figures and business representatives. The partner team organized courses for entrepreneurs and business managers to update their digitalization and data analysis skills. At meetings in Hamburg, Khujand, and Vilnius, the partners discussed the main methods and tools for improving higher education, maintaining gender equality, and introducing innovative digital ideas in business.
D.Phil. Sc. Tetyana Sharova, professor of TSATU, founded the Public Organization “Innovative Horizons of Ukraine”. The PO aims to introduce innovative teaching methods in higher education (SDG 4, 8). The NGO “Innovative Horizons of Ukraine” results are presented on the website. In cooperation with TSATU, “Innovative Horizons of Ukraine” conducts advanced training for higher education teachers and discusses directions for introducing innovative technologies and principles of sustainable development in higher education. The PO Innovative Horizons of Ukraine presented and discussed results of the work to the Institute of Modernization of Higher Education in Ukraine.

The academic and educational-scientific programs of TDATU provide for the study of mandatory and optional courses that reveal the features of sustainable development. The vital educational programs that demonstrate the principles of sustainable development are Ecology, Geodesy and Land Management, Food Technologies, Agronomy, Agroengineering, Horticulture and Viticulture, Tourism, Public Management, Food Technologies, and Administration. In 2023, 52 people from institutions of general, professional (vocational and technical), professional pre-higher, and higher education underwent advanced training and received relevant certificates in separate modules of four educational programs. HSPE presents reports for the 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 online.
