University veterans – living history and destiny. These are the people who created new training courses, built educational buildings and dormitories and trained more than one generation of specialists and scientists.
So is the professor of the department of technical service and systems in Agro-industrial complex, Candidate of Technical Sciences Ihor Serhiiovych Siryi, who celebrated his 90th birthday on January 19th. Together with him, our educational institution has gone the way of becoming, developing and continues to develop today.
It should be noted that working since 1956 in Melitopol Institute of Agricultural Mechanization (now – Dmytro Motornyi Tavria State Agrotechnological University), he held the positions of assistant, senior lecturer, associate professor, professor, headed the department «The basics of interchangeability», worked as vice-rector for educational and scientific work and was rector of Melitopol Institute of Agricultural Mechanization in 1971–1987 years.
Man is an era, man – a legend MIAM – TSATA – TSATU! 64 years together with our school! Ihor Serhiiovych gained tremendous respect and authority from all who communicated with him. His authority as a teacher, scientist, leader is inviolable. And today the personality of Ihor Serhiiovych is admiring, his tact, education, readiness.
