The integration of science and production is an integral element of the modern innovation process. Active cooperation between institutions of higher education and agrarian enterprises help to reduce the innovation cycle “science – technology – production”, creating conditions for the rapid introduction of scientific and technological achievements and ensuring on this basis the competitiveness of agricultural organizations.

One form of such cooperation is the conclusion of contracts between institutions of higher education and a subject of enterprise to create scientific and technical products (STP). The essence of this process is that the customer ( enterprise) entrusts the executor (SEC) to carry out certain works according to pre-determined requirements regarding terms, volumes, quality of performance and other conditions.

Thus, on April 29, 2020 an agreement was signed between the Dmytro Motornyi Tavria State Agrotechnological University of Agrothenology and private enterprise “Mighty” of Melitopol district of Zaporizhzhya region on the theme: “Optimization of the diet of dairy cows feeding based on the analysis of quantitative and qualitative indicators of milk production”. The research work will be carried out according to the scientific and technical program of TSATU “to develop technical means for preparation of forages and compost mixtures” (state registration number 0116U002721).

Boris Boltyansky, candidate of technical sciences, associate professor of the TSS Department in the AIC, was appointed as a scientific director. Also, a schedule of research work was developed and approved, and the protocol of agreement of the contractual price of NTP was signed.

The results of research work under this contract will be developed recommendations to optimize the daily diet of feeding dairy cows in the private enterprise “Mighty”, which will allow:

– to increase milk yield;

– to improve the quality of milk produced as a result of constant and well organized metabolism in animals;

– to lower the sickness rate of dairy cows;

– to lower the cost of production as a result of quality feed management.
