In 2023, 922 students graduated from Dmytro Motornyi Tavria State Agrotechnological University.

A total of 617 students received a bachelor’s degree, comprising 478 full-time students and 139 part-time students.

A master’s degree was awarded to 184 full-time and 121 part-time students.

According to Part 1 of Article 22 of the Law of Ukraine “On Complete General Secondary Education”, persons with higher education who are fluent in the state language (for citizens of Ukraine) are eligible for positions as pedagogical workers.

Individuals who have pedagogical education, higher education and/or professional qualifications, are fluent in the state language (for citizens of Ukraine) have proficiency in the state language sufficient for communication (for foreigners and stateless persons) are eligible for positions as pedagogical workers.

In accordance with Article 22 of the Law of Ukraine, the competencies specified in the standards of higher education of Ukraine and paragraph 4 of the educational programmes, pedagogy disciplines are provided within the framework of specialities enabling alumni to teach in higher educational institutions.

At TSATU, pedagogical skills are developed through 2 educational programmes at the second (master’s) level and 9 educational programmes at the third (educational and scientific) level of higher education.

A total of 29 applicants, equipped with professional competencies for teaching at higher educational institutions, graduated with specializations in Agroengineering and Geodesy and Land Management.

TSATU provides free access to educational resources for individuals not enrolled at the university through the TSATU Scientific Library website, which provides unlimited free online access to the ElarTSATU repository – the electronic archive of the university http://elar.tsatu.edu.ua/. ElarTSATU ranks among the top institutional repositories in Ukraine by the number of documents, containing 16,900 documents indexed by Google Scholar. The repository includes 22 funds and 61 collections.

In 2023, 17 events were held as part of the HSPE programme, including:

 The university hosts events open to the general public: as part of the activities of the Higher School of Pedagogical Excellence (HSPE), the academic staff of TSATU have developed and implemented educational programmes for advanced training in various areas of professional activity, including Visualization of Verbal Material as a Means of Improving the Quality of Education, Communication and Digitalization, Modern Ukrainian Language in Everyday and Professional Communication, Information and Digital Space: Open Education, Using Autodesk Software for Improving the Quality of the Educational Process. These programmes were approved by the Academic Council of TSATU and reviewed by the Scientific and Methodological Council.

In 2023, 52 participants from a range of institutions of general, vocational, professional pre-higher and higher education, including specialists from universities, vocational colleges, lyceums, as well as representatives of territorial communities, etc., completed advanced training courses in separate modules of four educational programmes and received the corresponding certificates.

TSATU is involved in educational initiatives in secondary education institutions of Kherson, Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk regions. Most of the territories are currently occupied by Russian forces and lie along the contact line, which makes it critical to highlight the importance of higher education to future graduates.

In 2023, TSATU organized an interactive educational event “Youth of Tavriia” for university applicants, supported by the Executive Committee of Melitopol City Council http://www.tsatu.edu.ua/molod-tavriji-majbutnje-melitopolja-zalezhyt-same-vid-vas/. Over three hundred 10th- and 11th-grade students participated in the event. The speakers included Ivan Fedorov, the Mayor of Melitopol (currently the Governor of Zaporizhzhia region), Mykhailo Semikin, the Deputy Mayor of Melitopol, Valerii Hazaiev, an Honoured Master of Sports of Ukraine and Honoured Trainer of Ukraine, Inna Yefymenko, the Director of the Centralized Library System of Melitopol, and Tetiana Nesvat, the coordinator of the programme “Dream and Act” (IREX).

In 2023, the tradition of holding the annual workshop “Leaders of Ideas” aimed at engaging young people who are not students of TSATU was launched. http://www.tsatu.edu.ua/lidery-idej-online-vorkshop-dlja-cilesprjamovanoji-molodi-vid-kreatyvnoji-komandy-tdatu/. The primary goal of the event is to equip participants with project management skills, foster creative thinking, and encourage them to address pressing issues within their communities and regions. The event is supported by the university management and local authorities. The workshop mentors are teams of TSATU teachers and students, who volunteer their time to guide the participants. The workshop is conducted in a hybrid format, allowing both offline and online participation, which enhances accessibility for youth from remote areas.

Lifelong learning at TSATU is facilitated through the Institute of Advanced Training, the Higher School of Pedagogical Excellence, and the Centre for Professional Development. Following its established policy, the University declares its commitment to lifelong learning as a core priority, ensuring equal opportunities for all individuals to access innovative ideas, solutions, knowledge, and skills to unlock their potential regardless of age, location, timing, or circumstances.

The TSATU Strategy for 2023-2030 has established the strategic goal of the University “S1. Formation of an academic space to ensure lifelong access to quality education”. This strategy ensures that all stakeholders have access to non-formal education platforms, opportunities for additional professional education and addresses the individual educational needs of diverse population groups, regardless of nationality, religion, migration status, gender, or health status.

Access to public events, regardless of ethnic origin, religion, disability, immigration status or gender is governed by the Regulations on the Organization of the Educational Process at TSATU, which was approved by the Academic Council of TSATU on 19 June 2024. http://www.tsatu.edu.ua/nmc/wp-content/uploads/sites/52/polozhennja_pro_orhanizaciju_osvitnoho_procesu_2024_cherven-1.pdf According to paragraph 2.3 on pages 3-4, TSATU principles include openness, accessibility, humanism, democracy, the priority of general moral values, and national orientation. Among its key tasks, TSATU aims to preserve and enhance moral, cultural, patriotic, and scientific values and achievements of society, disseminate knowledge among the population, enhance the educational and cultural level of citizens, and establish an environment for providing quality education to disabled individuals, orphans, and children deprived of parental care.

In 2023, TSATU developed policies focused on protecting human rights and promoting social equality http://www.tsatu.edu.ua/henderna-rivnist-ta-socialna-inkljuzija/:

– a gender equality plan for 2023-2026;

– a policy to combat human trafficking and forced labour;

– a policy to prohibit sexual harassment and inappropriate behaviour in the workplace;

– a gender equality and social inclusion policy;

– a policy to prevent sexual exploitation and abuse (PSEA policy)

The 2023 admission campaign was conducted in accordance with the University Admission Rules developed in accordance with the Procedure for Admission to Higher Education in 2023. In 2023, a total of 2330 applicants were successfully enrolled in TSATU. Detailed results of the admission committee’s work can be found in the rector’s report (pp. 56-57)

1381 applicants were enrolled in Bachelor’s degree programmes. Of these, 1106 were enrolled in full-time programmes (661 state-funded and 445 funded by individuals/legal entities), while 275 were enrolled in part-time programmes (100 state-funded and 175 funded by individuals/legal entities). Among those enrolled on the basis of complete general secondary education, 572 applicants were admitted to full-time programmes, with 328 receiving state budget funding. Additionally, 91 were enrolled in part-time programmes, with 30 receiving state budget funding. In full-time programmes, 534 applicants were enrolled, including 333 receiving state budget funding. For part-time programmes from this category, 184 applicants were enrolled, with 70 receiving state budget funding.

949 applicants were enrolled in Master’s degree programmes. Of these, 763 were enrolled in full-time programmes (302 under state order and 461 at the expense of individuals/legal entities), while 186 were enrolled in part-time programmes (17 under state order and 169 at the expense of individuals/legal entities).

The largest number of applicants were enrolled in the following specialities: 208 Agroengineering, 201 Agronomy, 141 Power Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Electromechanics, 133 Sectoral Machine Building, 181 Food Technology.

Among the applicants in Bachelor’s degree programmes, 1305 were first-time recipients of higher education.

As of 1 January 2024, the total number of TSATU students stands at 4730.
