Viktoriia Lemeshchenko-Lagoda, PhD, Associate Professor of the Department of Foreign Languages at Dmytro Motornyi Tavria State Agrotechnological University recently took part in the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs exchange, spending two months in September and October 2025 at Bla-Blala in English, one of Cyprus’s most dynamic and forward-thinking language schools.
The exchange provided a unique opportunity to observe and engage with modern English teaching practices. She participated in lessons for various age groups, from young learners to adults, and contributed to classes through co-teaching and interactive lesson activities. She also developed her own teaching modules, gaining hands-on experience in lesson planning, student engagement, and practical language use. The focus throughout was on improving speaking skills, intercultural understanding, and learner motivation.
Bla-Bla in English is recognized for its innovative and student-centered approach. The school combines traditional classroom teaching with digital tools and learning management systems, allowing for personalized learning paths and efficient class management. Students benefit from interactive materials, authentic tasks, and practical exercises, all designed to foster confidence in using English in real-life situations.
Beyond classroom observation, the exchange offered insights into curriculum design, assessment methods, and effective teaching strategies, which are now being adapted to enhance English instruction at Dmytro Motornyi Tavria State Agrotechnological University. The experience has also highlighted the value of creative, engaging, and technology-supported language education, providing inspiration for future courses and initiatives.
This Erasmus exchange has strengthened professional expertise, expanded international collaboration, and offered practical ideas for bringing innovative English teaching methods to the university. The Department of Foreign Languages congratulates Viktoriia Lemeshchenko-Lagoda on this valuable experience and looks forward to applying the lessons learned in upcoming programs.
