On October 2, third-year students of the Civil Security speciality took part in an educational event dedicated to the Day of Defenders of Ukraine.

During the discussion, it was emphasised that this day is much more than just a public holiday. This holiday has deep roots, historically linked to the Day of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin, which has long been considered the main holiday of the Ukrainian Cossacks. Thus, this day symbolises the inseparable connection between generations of defenders, from Cossacks to modern warriors.

It is of particular importance for future security specialists, as their duty is not only to master the theory of defence, but also to deeply understand the historical and moral foundations of courage and sacrifice.

The event focused on analysing the current security challenges facing Ukraine, which our soldiers encounter on a daily basis. Special attention was paid to the role and place of civil security specialists in the national defence structure, emphasising the interconnection between military and civil defence.

The importance of military-patriotic education, which shapes the readiness to defend the homeland, was discussed. A discussion was also organised on the psychological resilience and mental health of defenders, as this is a critically important element of modern civil security.

It was emphasised that true civil security begins with respect and remembrance for those who guarantee our right to a peaceful life. This educational hour was not a declaration, but an internal rethinking of personal responsibility to the country. May this day inspire you to excel in your studies and serve the nation impeccably.
