Students of our university, namely faculties of Agrotechnology and Ecology, Economics and Business, as well as the Mechanical Engineering Faculty supported the initiative of the Department of Foreign Languages teachers and joined the professional courses from British and American universities, which allowed them not only to expand their knowledge in the specialty and get acquainted with the leading modern technologies, but also to improve the level of English language proficiency.

On the FutureLearn online educational platform, universities such as the University of Exeter, the University of Leeds, Coventry University and the Institute of Coding (UK), the University of Michigan (USA) and others have provided full free access to their courses in natural, technical, computer, economic, psychological and pedagogical disciplines. Education in all courses is conducted exclusively in English and involves listening to lectures, mastering theoretical material, performing open-ended tasks and test control. Upon successful completion of all tasks, students receive certificates of completion of the course.

It should be noted that students of specialities: “Geodesy and Land Management” (Akatova Daria, Blud Vladyslav, Halkina Yelyzaveta, Ivashchenko Veronika, Loiko Oleksandr – 21group, English teacher – Lemeshchenko-Lagoda V.V.), “Agroengineering” (Kurashkin Oleksandr, 31 group, English teacher – Lemeshchenko-Lagoda V.V.), “Food Technologies” (Popova Kateryna., Perets Tetiana –  21group; Dushyna Mariia – 31 group, English teacher – Kryvonos I.A.) chose to study a distance course «Earth Day at 50 Teach-out» (University of Michigan, USA) is devoted to topical issues of sustainable development of society and covers a number of problematic issues of environmental, energy and engineering nature.

But the students of the Faculty of Economics and Business focused on the study of economic courses and the peculiarities of doing business in a remote office, which is certainly relevant in connection with quarantine both within our country and in many countries:

  • the course “Create a social media marketing campaign” (University of Leeds and Institute of Coding, Great Britain) was successfully completed by students of 31 group, specialty “Finance, Banking and Insurance” Komarova Karyna and Hashutina Alina (English teacher – Lemeshchenko-Lagoda V.V.);
  • the course «Communication and interpersonal skills at work» (University of Leeds та Institute of Coding, Great Britain) was chosen by students of 21group, the specialty “Business, Trade and Stock Exchanges” Hrabovska Yana, Andriiashyn Vitalii, the student of 31 group, the specialty “Management” – Viktorova Viktoriia (English teacher – Kryvonos I.A.) and the student of 31 group, specialty “Finance, Banking and Insurance” Zakharchuk Ihor (English teacher – Lemeshchenko-Lagoda V.V.);
  • the course “Essential Skills for your career development” (University of Leeds and Institute of Coding, Great Britain) was successfully completed by students of 31 group, the specialty “Management” – Klimova Anastasiia (English teacher – Kryvonos I.A.), Bondarenko Karyna (English teacher – Hladkykh H.V.);
  • the course “Create a professional online presence” (University of Leeds and Institute of Coding, Great Britain) was chosen by students of 31 group, the specialty “Management” – Mykhailova Nadiia (English teacher – Kryvonos I.A.), Shumikhina Alina (English teacher – Hladkykh H.V.);
  • and the course “Learn about current digital workplace trends” (University of Leeds and Institute of Coding, Great Britain) was chosen by student of 31 group, the specialty “Management” – Kravchenko Krystyna (English teacher – Kryvonos I.A.).

All students of our university showed a high level of knowledge, which allowed them to obtain certificates.
