The scientific-practical seminar “Laboratory Methods for Assessing the Quality and Safety of Milk” took place from March 1 to 6, 2021, based on the Department of Food Technologies and Hotel-Restaurant Business. The seminar was conducted for the laboratory staff of Novomykolaiv Milk Plant PJSC. Topics covered included milk falsification and methods of identification, with a detailed study of arbitral methods for analyzing protein and fat content.

On June 7-8, 2018, the exhibition-conference “Agroecological Aspects of Agriculture and Processing of Agricultural Products” was held. The event was organized by the information company “Infoindustry” in partnership with the Ukrainian Horticulture Business Development Project (UHBDP), with the support of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine at the Tavria State Agrotechnological University. An electronic collection of abstracts was compiled based on the conference materials.

The exhibition-conference “Modern Mushroom Farming-2018” took place on May 17-18, 2018. The event was organized by the company “Infoindustry” with the support of the Ukrainian Horticulture Business Development Project.

On April 5, 2018, the annual All-Ukrainian Scientific and Technical Conference for Master’s and Students took place, summarizing the results of research conducted in 2017.

From June 3 to 4, 2017, the practical conference “Modern Mushroom Farming 2017” was held in Kyrylivka on the shores of the Azov Sea, initiated by the Ukrainian Horticulture Business Development Project. Approximately 300 mushroom growers from Ukraine, Moldova, Italy, Romania, and Belarus participated in the conference.

The international scientific conference at Wyższa Szkoła Biznesu – National-Louis University (Nowy Sącz, Poland) occurred from June 19 to 23, 2017.

The II International Scientific and Practical Conference “Innovative Aspects of Equipment Development in the Food and Hotel Industry in Modern Conditions” dedicated to the 85th anniversary of Tavria State Agrotechnological University and the 50th anniversary of Kharkiv State University of Food and Trade took place from September 5 to 7 at TSATU, SOC “Salute.”

Faculty and students of the Department of Food Technologies and Hotel-Restaurant Business have actively participated in various international conferences and projects:

  1. Department faculty participated in the conference “Exploring Ukraine’s Gastronomic Heritage: Traditions of Hospitality and Culinary Culture as the Basis for the Development of Creative Industries in Regions.”
  2. Students explored ways to adapt hotel and restaurant businesses to the post-COVID period at an international event facilitated by French experts.
  3. French experts shared craft brewing secrets with Ukrainian students as part of international cooperation.
  4. Specialists from École Hôtelière de Lausanne contribute to shaping the educational-professional program for the specialty “Hotel and Restaurant Business.”
  5. Department faculty engaged in an online conference dedicated to the conditions for participating in European research and innovation programs within the framework of Cost Actions network.
  6. Collaboration between the department and NGOs “Intercultural Gastronomic Circle” and “Wide Step” within an international UNDP project on peace restoration and development.
  7. Online intensive program for students in hotel and restaurant business as part of the international USAID ERA project.
  8. Collaboration of the department with the international USAID ERA project.
  9. Successful organization of the international scientific-practical internet conference “Innovations in Technology and Equipment for Hotel, Restaurant, Food, and Processing Industries.”
  10. Faculty members exchanged experiences in an online meeting with the head of innovation and entrepreneurship programs at the international training center MASHAV CARMEL named after Golda Meir (Israel).
